Today has been a great day. Probably one of the most enjoyable of our whole trip. We had our alarm set for 7:30 but alarm clock Kobe has been awake at 7:10-7:15 the past few mornings. This morning is no different. He is awake a few minutes before we had set our alarm. We were up and dressed and out the door and got to the park about 8:40 for the 9am opening. Unbeknown to us, even if you drove to the park, you still needed to catch a bus shuttle thing to the ticketing area, to then catch either a monorail or ferry to the park. We got to the park pretty much right on the 9am opening time.
The first park we were going to was Magic Kingdom. Everyone had an absolute ball. Charli loved seeing and meeting the princesses and getting her photo taken, while Kobe... didn't. He was happy to look at them, but if he had to go anywhere near them, he would begin to get scared.

The morning was mainly rides to keep the kids entertained. We had a quick lunch, and then did a final few rides before laying Kobe back for his sleep about 2:50pm. It was later than normal, but we thought if we put him back at a normal time, he would resist. Also, with the fireworks being at 10pm, we wanted him to have a latter sleep so he would hopefully last. He went to sleep easily, which gave us some time where we could easily go on rides in which Kobe wouldn't want to go.
Charli had mentioned the whole day about wanting to do rollercoasters, and we thought she was too young and wouldn't really enjoy it. I think she only knew of rollercoasters being good as they were in Peppa Pig once. So... there was 'Big Thunder Mountain Railroad' which was a rollercoaster. It didn't have any loops or anything like that, but thought that would be her limit, if not past it. I went on it with her, and she absolutely loved it!! So much so, that as soon as we were finished, she went back on it with Renee.

We had planned on taking everyone on Splash Mountain, but it was closed for the day. Boooo
Kobe woke about 5:20. He had just under 2 and a half hours sleep laying
back in his stroller, as we pushed him around Disneyworld. After he awake, we did a few more rides before arriving for our tea reservation at 6:40.
for dining with the Princess in Cinderellas Castle. The restaurant is actually in Cinderellas castle, and you have your photo taken with Cinderella as you walk in the door. The photo is given to you as a present. Inside the castle while you are dining there were another 4 princesses going from table to table to talk to, sign autographs, and have photos taken with the kids.

After tea as it approached the 'Main Street Electrical Parade', we wandered back to the beginning of Main Street so we would be in prime position when it came to leaving and getting ahead of traffic. While Charli was off at the toilet, I thought we would give Mickey Mouse one more shot with Kobe. The other characters we had seen where always in public view and lots of people around. One of the attractions around there was a meet and greet where it was more personal. Kobe and I queued up and he seemed excited about seeing Mickey. This wasn't the first time he had seemed quiet, and then bolted at the sight of a character so we weren't holding our breathes. Charli and Renee joined me in the queue, and we eventually went through to where Mickey was. Mickey held out his hand and Kobe reached forward and grabbed it. As close as we have got so far!!! Then.... to our astonishment, Kobe actually posed for a photo with Mickey. Unfortunately, we were so surprised we just stood there, and didn't actually take any photos. Luckily Disney take professional photos and you can buy or do things with them online. I think that is 1 photo we will pay $14.95 for and get printed, framed, and put on his bedside table :-)

After that, we got a nice little spot to see the Electrical Parade. In short, its a parade where everything is lit up. Once completed, we did a little bit of shopping to fill in time until 10pm, when the fireworks show started. I dont think either of the kids had really seen fireworks before, so they were in for something knew. Charli loved it and had a ball... Kobe... didn't. Don't know if it was because we had been in the park over 13 hours at that point and he was tired, but he didn't really seem to enjoy them.

After the fireworks, we, like everyone else in the park wanted to get back to their car. It was surprisingly easy considering how many people there were. We were home just after 11pm. Charli fell asleep in the car, and Kobe was awake until we put him into bed. With such a big day, we had mentioned to Kobe that tomorrow morning we really should try and have a sleep in. Everytime he would smile and say "OK". I guess we will see tomorrow what he does.
While it might not interest anyone else. Today Charli has worn a headband that she has had for a couple of years. It's actually the headband she wore to the park when she went just after she turned 1. Although... She has changed from then a little bit :-)
